    What began to borrow the Coolpix point-and-shoot of his own mom when Krieger moved to New York City has become a way of life for the photographer. “I’d choose the camera with me on the subway and take photos as I walked across the roads,” he says. “My first little gig was for the Brooklyn Paper and they started sending me out about missions to insure local restaurants.”

    Krieger has spent 10 years speaking at conventions shooting weddings, and photographing for books around the globe. He even shoots at the cookbook. “The editorial material is really how I started,” Krieger stocks. “That’s a good way to educate yourself. You are shooting on location, and moving around a lot. You’ve got deadlines that were quick. It really prepares you.”
